Discover home care options

You noticed a change.
You don't have to figure out the rest alone.

You don't need to know what type of care your family member needs or have a plan ready. Tell us what's happening, and we'll help you decide on the next step.

How CareQuilt works

Start where you are.
Weโ€™ll help from there.

Maybe it's skipped meals, a near-fall, or just a feeling you had after your last visit. Whatever you've noticed is the right place to begin. We'll help you understand what's happening, what matters most, and what type of care is right for your family. A Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) care manager builds and reviews every care plan with you.

Tell us what you've noticed

Share what a normal day looks like for them, what's still going well, and where things are getting harder. There are no wrong answers.

Meet their caregiver

Care starts when your loved one is ready

Most parents say no at first. Thatโ€™s normal.

Almost every family hears "I don't need help" in the first conversation. It rarely means no. It usually means your parent wants to stay in control of their own life. That's why we build in a pause. Before care begins, we ask you to take a few days to talk it through together. When your parent feels part of the decision, the first visit goes better and care is more likely to last.

Talking to your parent about home care

How to start the conversation

Start with what they want to keep. Ask what they want to keep doing on their own, and where a little help would make the biggest difference. Keep the first step small. A few hours a week for meals, errands, or a walk feels very different from "home care." Make it about you if that helps. "It would give me peace of mind" is often easier to accept than "you need help." Let them meet the person. Many parents relax once they meet their caregiver, not the idea of one. If the conversation stalls, our care team can help.

1

The intake call

A free 20-minute conversation with our care team. You tell us what youโ€™ve noticed. We ask the questions that help us understand the full picture: the medical context, daily routine, family dynamics, whatโ€™s working, what isnโ€™t.

2

The care plan

Within 48 hours of the intake call, your care manager and RPN draft a plan built around your familyโ€™s goals, not a generic schedule. You review it, we revise it, and we agree together on what weโ€™re doing and why.

3

Meet your caregiver

We match a caregiver based on personality, schedule, language, and your parentโ€™s care needs. You meet them before care starts. If the fit isnโ€™t right, we find another. Youโ€™re not locked in.

4

Care begins

Most families start with 2 to 4 visits per week, with a three-hour minimum per visit. That gives your caregiver time to make a meaningful difference without overwhelming your loved one. Weโ€™ll recommend a schedule that fits your familyโ€™s needs.
